Lauren's Color photos Critique

photo 1
-Where is the pop of color? The door and frame around the windows. Vertical framing and rule of thirds.

-Did the pop of color make sense in this composition? Yes, it like she was aiming to frame the front entrance because of the beautiful green color and converging lines.

-Is the composition balanced? If so, what elements are creating the balance? The use of lines from the windows and bottom of the staircase are balancing the photo.

-What is the exposure like? Well exposed? Over exposed? Under exposed? The lightning looks like the sun was setting. kind of dim but well exposed.

-What about the range of tones (lights and darks) in the image? starting in the corners it goes dark to light, very subtle change but you can see the range.

-What would you change about it if you would have taken the image? i think I would lighting it up just a bit and then enhance the green on the door and windows to make them pop out. Also I would have cropped the stairs just a bit more to make

-Does this image evoke a mood or feeling? Relaxation, i look at the photo and go Aww, home.

-Overall, what do you think about the image? I love the frame within a frame you can see the reflection of the trees through the windows and the hue of green.

-Is the composition balanced? If so, what elements are creating the balance? every corner has a color that flows into the next and the balls where each line pulls out creates a great balance.

-What is the exposure like? Well exposed? Over exposed? Under exposed? well exposed the colors are vibrant and they pop.

-What about the range of tones (lights and darks) in the image? each tone moves through the next. you can see the contrast in parts of the photo. left to right.

-What would you change about it if you would have taken the image? nothing, a little more cropping in the upper right corner. otherwise very pretty.

-Does this image evoke a mood or feeling? exciting, I want to go be creative or draw and color something.

-Overall, what do you think about the image? the zig zag lines and symmetrical  balance is  awesome. very artistic.
